So surgery went alright, and I can move my face with no problem. I only lost one movement I used to be capable of, but it's practically useless anyway: I was able to move both my ear lobes, and now I can only move the one on the right. Perhaps with a little bit of training, I'll regain that ability. It's fun.
I'm not out of the line of fire, but the fact that the surgery went well is already of amazing significance to me and my quality of life.
Thanks to everyone who manifested their support for me, I owe you for it.
My teammates were so sweet, they stood the whole day looking at the OR's program, as my surgery progressed. They told me that when the surgery prolonged itself another hour, some freaked out and feared the worst. 5 hours of surgery, and I woke up trying to smile. Half of my face is numb, and it will take about a year to go back to normal. But I can move and I look normal, and that's already quite the blessing.
As for art, my laptop is now fixed, but guess what - the person that took care of it reinstalled Windows Xp (which is the OS it originally came with). But the worst part is that they also loaded a bunch of crapware, like Kapersky and Nero. Yeah, I call that crapware. I can get the same thing in free and lighter programs. Kapersky specifically, is a resource hog.
So I'll be soon deleting everything and install Windows 7 back on this thing, and I'll be upgrading to Corel X5. Eventually I'll download Photoshop from Adobe, and see it I can adapt. If I can, I'll probably ditch Corel X5, since honestly, the company simply doesn't innovate enough anymore. It saddens me, really. Like I'm letting an old friend go. The only reason why I'm still installing X5 is because I have a lot of stuff on Corel's file formats.
I'm in the process of switching from a 3G connection to a DSL connection, so I'm not sure when I'll be back updating the gallery, but I hope it's soon.
That's all for now, thanks again for the support!
